R.A.R.E. Grant Guidelines for 2026
Overview
Working with Hope’s R.A.R.E. Support Fund is pleased to announce this year's grant opportunity to assist providers bridge the gap between our mental and physical health, providing hope for a cure.
We are accepting grant applications from providers that address one of the seven core areas of support.
Please review the following guidelines to ensure eligibility and compliance with the application process. Funding Details
- Grant Amount: $2,000 for reimbursement of patient services rendered.
Eligibility Requirement: Providers can be businesses, government agencies, nonprofit organizations, medical professionals, or mental health providers committed to supporting women with chronic invisible illnesses caused by trauma.
Restrictions:
Grant proposals are accepted only from providers that offer services to women that have experienced a traumatic event(s) and have an invisible chronic illness or disability.
Areas of Focus:
- Employment & Professional Development – training, continuing education, & entrepreneurship support.
- Home Life & Security – Household/caregiver support, housing stability, and security.
- Medical & Mental Health Treatments – Services not covered by insurance.
- Personal Development – Programs such as expressive arts therapy.
- Community Integration & Peer Support – Initiatives that foster peer connection and social reintegration.
- Physical Wellness & Rehabilitation – Fitness, movement therapy, and rehabilitation services.
- Financial Literacy & Independence – Budgeting, financial planning, and economic stability programs.
How to Apply for R.A.R.E. Grant Funds:
Submit Your Grant Application – Deadline to submit is June 13th, 2026.
The winner will be announced on July 13th, 2026.
Review Process – Applications will be evaluated by the Working with Hope Board of Directors based on program merit.
Submission Guidelines
- Supporting data, examples, and references to research are encouraged.
- Selection Method: The Board of Directors (Working with Hope, Inc - R.A.R.E. Fund) will review applications and select recipients based on total scores.
Tiebreaker: In the event of a tie, a draw will determine the award.
Eligible Patients/Clients and Reporting Requirements
Eligible Patient/Client:
- Have a chronic invisible illness (e.g., heart disease, Traumatic Brain Injury, PTSD, chronic pain, autoimmune disorders).
- Need services that directly address their condition.
- Provider must registered patient/client with the R.A.R.E. Support Network and receive a ID Number for their patient/client.
Note: No medical information is required. RSN and WWH does not collect or store medical information. Reports are done by Member Id number.
Reporting Requirements
Use of funds reporting:
- Total number of services provided.
- Total number of patient/clients served.
- Total cost of services.
- Total of patient payments.
- Total discounts given.
Together, we can bring hope to those who have lost hope for a cure.
